Beginning Thursday 6th March, our Introduction to Art course is one session a week for five weeks at St Johns Church, Redhill from 10:30 - 1pm on Thursdays.

Perfect for complete beginners to improvers. This course covers the elements and principles of art, as well as drawing and painting techniques using pencils, charcoals & pastels, watercolour, and acrylics on canvas. We run our Introduction to Art Course approximately once a year so this is a fantastic opportunity to get a fresh taste for art and some expert tuition to help you grow you creative abilities. 

Our small classes are fun and friendly with experienced tutors will guide you through the basic principles and techniques you need to know in order to become confident at drawing and painting. Each session is packed with information and guided exercises that will deepen your understanding of art and help you practice the key skills you need. You’ll gradually build up a folder of helpful course notes and examples that you can refer back to at any time.

Once you’ve completed this course you’ll be ready to progress onto any of our mixed-ability courses and workshops to continue developing your skills and pursuing your love of art.

Refreshments provided, parking available and all materials are included in the price.

St John’s Community Hall is a lovely, bright and warm space next to the church.
